Engineering Requirements for OSD Tanks

Council stormwater regulations require OSD retention pits to maintain complete water tightness. Water migrating through porous core-filled concrete blocks compromises the adjacent driveway pavement sub-base, leading to ground subsidence and structural failure.

Technical Application

• Masonry Pore Sealing: High-solids penetrating primer applied to stabilize core-filled cinder block surfaces and mortar joints.
• Structural Rebar & Corner Reinforcement: Non-shrink hydraulic cement fillets at base corners, followed by polyester fabric-reinforced elastomeric banding.
• Water-Holding Membrane: Multi-coat application of certified hydrostatic water-retaining elastomeric membrane capable of withstanding constant hydraulic head pressure.
